Nasser Hussain was born of an Indian Muslim father, Jawad (also known as "Joe"), and of mother Patricia on 28 March 1968, in Madras now Chennai, India. He is The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire. Its a reminder of what you often are so keen to forget. When you think of how a Jawad became Joe it sounds easy.
I see from many of his controversies involving Indian cricket he is frantically making attempts to transplant his roots as very British. To add to his advantage he is white too. But the fact that cannot be erased from history is that he was born on Indian soil and that he was made in India. Are you not proud of it?
India's ongoing tour of England has been having its share of controversies. During the tests, Hussain was part of another row in which he had claimed that V.V.S Laxman applies Vaseline to cheat the 'Hot Spot' technology - a comment that had many experts lashing out at the former skipper.
