New Delhi, January 10 (ANI): Muslim cleric, Maulana Arshad Madani has backed the demand of canceling the visa of acclaimed author Salman Rushdie put forward by Islamic seminary Darul Uloom Deoband. Drawing parallels with the legendary artist M F Hussain, who had earned the ire of Hindus, Madani said Rushdie, has hurt the sentiments of Muslim community. Meanwhile, senior Congress leader Rashid Alvi refused to comment on the issue putting the ball in the government's court.
