Palamu, December 24 (ANI): An impoverished family seeks justice for their young son who was shot dead by Maoists while travelling to his grandparent's village in Palamu district of Jharkhand on Friday. According to the family, the child was travelling to his maternal grandmother's village in a local bus when Maoists attacked the vehicle killing almost everyone present in it. The family has also sought state government s intervention into the matter. Despite strong measures initiated by the central government in eradicating the ultras, the Maoist insurgency has gripped nearly one third of the country in its violent tentacles, spreading into the interiors of 20 of India's 28 states.
