Jhargram, October 22 (ANI): Security personnel recovered a landmine hidden in a container in Jhargram in West Bengal today. The rebels had given a call for shutdown in three districts of the state to defy West Bengal state chief, Mamata Banerjee's seven day deadline to Maoists to lay down arms and join peace talks. As a result, security has been steeped up in districts of West Midnapore, Bankura and Purulia to avert any untoward incident as Banerjee s ultimatum came to an end. The normal life was crippled during the strike, as shops remained closed and vehicles were off road. Banerjee had set a seven day deadline to the ultras to give up violence and join peace talks on October 15.
