Imphal, January 16 (ANI): Security forces are carrying out extensive search and combing operations in Imphal to ensure peaceful state assembly elections later this month. Elections to the 60 member Manipur state assembly will be held on January 28. Nearly 35,000 security personnel, including 280 paramilitary forces, have been deployed in Manipur for the upcoming assembly election following threat from militant outfits.
