Shimla, /Amritsar, January 2 (ANI): The dip in mercury continues to freeze parts of northern India, with no respite for locals, who have been bearing the brunt of the dense fog and icy cold winds. The cold wave remained unabated in Shimla, with temperatures gradually slipping to sub zero levels. The worst hit were the homeless and roadside vendors, who were forced to light up bonfires to escape the chill. Amritsar too has been gripped by cold wave following which the normal life has been disrupted in the city.
