Description

Jamshedpur, February 21 (ANI): While the metropolitan cities represent the shining India of the 21st century, the Maoist hit areas of Jharkhand could not taste that development, taking place in the country, due the menace of Naxalism. While the government is trying hard to merge the Maoist infested areas into the mainstream society, people here are also making efforts to bring development. The Kantha Singh orphanage is a true example of their efforts. The orphanage opened by Upendranath Karmakar alias Kantha Singh in Dampada region, which is 85 kilometers away from Jamshedpur district, is educating the orphans, so that these children do not end up being a part of the naxals.
