Description Visakhapatnam, July 3 (ANI): Acting on a tip off, police have arrested six Maoists and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunitions in Andhra Pradesh. Interacting with reporters, Deputy Inspector General of Visakhapatnam Range, Swati Lakra said that they have recovered items including bullet proof jackets and cash. Throwing light on the condition of tribals in the area, Lakra also stated that Maoists often attempt to halt developmental projects funded by the state government. In the last few years, the rebels have stepped up their efforts against the government as well as the locals, after various locals complained that Maoist activities such as killings and abductions increased considerably in the area.
