New Delhi, January 17 (ANI): As Muslim clerics raise the pitch opposing proposed arrival of acclaimed author Salman Rushdie to India, there are reports that he might actually give the Jaipur literary festival a miss. As per media reports, the Rajasthan government has persuaded the organisers of the Festival to ask Rushdie to cancel his visit. Earlier, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said in New Delhi yesterday his state government was yet to receive any official confirmation for Rushdie's visit.
